Sookie Stackhouse is a fictional character from the hit television series “Trueblood”. In the Show, Sookie is introduced as a waitress at Merlotte's diner, located deep in the southern Louisiana town Bon temps. Although we learn quickly, Sook has struggled with the gift to read people's minds uncontrollably, for a while.

As soon as we are introduced to the first episode, we meet Sookie's love interest William Compton. Who she immediately is fascinated by. Bill (William) is a vampire which in Sookie's small, closemined town isn't taken kindly at first. This causes quite a bit of tension between Sookie and her Coworkers. Sookie, despite this, goes in a back and forth pursuit of William. Sookie's attraction and fascination with vampires is assumed by most fans, including myself, is the fact that she can't hear their thoughts.

Sookie has other love interests in the show, such as Eric Northman. Her growth throughout the show is launched by these relationships. As Sookie learns about love, supernatural, and how to not feel as isolated in a supernatural world. Sookie's Character goes through a variety of obstacles through the show, some physical and some mental. Sookie's character through the process is shown to change from just a regular waitress, to a girl who is far from ordinary and one who holds power.

Specific events happen that teach Sookie certain lessons. Sookie learns that through her Bestfriends Tara's death she cannot be so selfish. She also learns from her grandmothers, death does not take away people, and that they're always with us. Sookie’s growth as a character couldn't have happened without these events.

Sookie Stackhouse is forever a fan favorite of TrueBlood fans everywhere. Although she has her ditzy moments, her entanglements, differences, and adventures are what most fans remember about Trueblood. While she explores a prejudiced world but gives viewers an outside perspective amongst our world.

Each episode is an hour long with lots of action and drama that won't leave you bored.

Vampires makeup a good majority of the show's supernatural beings. Our main characters that we follow in the show are William Compton and Eric Northman. Vampires are hidden within society, but cannot come out during the sunlight hours. Vampires who convert to society norms, drink a blood alternative drink named ‘trueblood’ that disables their need to kill humans and drink their blood. The number of vampires is actually so big, there is a King, or Queen for each U.S state. Along with a sheriff. In order for one to become a vampire, the vampire must drink its victims blood at death and bury itself with it. Making a progeny. Makers have full control over its progeny. Vampires have powers that increase with age, and some have more power than others. Some vampires can fly, some can entrance people, while others can do both. In order to kill a vampire, there are multiple options. A vampire can be burned to death, for example when stepping into the sunlight. Vampires can be drained of their blood and die, or staked to death.

Werewolves are essentially shapeshifters. A werewolf typically has a stereotypical wolf mentality. Werewolves in true blood usually stay away from the societal norms, and stay in their own ‘packs’. This mentality that wolves have makes them territorial, but there are good and bad packs that are in the show. Becoming a werewolf is not one a human can do, you must be born by 2 werewolves. Werewolves essentially have again stereoptical wolf behavior and ‘powers’. Werewolves can shift at any time, anywhere. Although, a werewolf will always shift to its wolf form on a full moon. They have heightened senses, including their sound and smell. Werewolves are not as hard of a creature to kill if one attacks you, compared to a vampire. Regular bullets will do the trick.

Shapeshifters makeup another big part of the society’s supernatural in true blood. Shapeshifters are hidden within society, and are basically just humans who can shift into any animal. A shapeshifter needs a picture, or target in order to shift. Most shifters have a signature shift, as a result is one that they can change into anytime. For example, one of our main characters, Sam Merlotte, who shifts into a dog. As a result, he has the heightened senses of a dog. A shapeshifter cannot keep its form forever, and it goes away once they sleep. Shifters and werewolves can be killed in the sameway.

Witches are another populator of the supernatural. Witches are neopagan, and usually pretty docile and holistic. A witch's practice is chosen upon the soul of the practitioner. If a witch becomes powerful enough, they can have powers that control all things dead. This makes vampires the witches biggest target and most susceptible to their power. Inorder to become a witch, some users have certain powers from the soul, or can be practiced.

Faeries are the rarest creatures in True Blood. They date back ages and are the oldest race of the supernatural in the show. Faeries are supposedly ‘sacred’ creatures, but we can see they have interest in humans because our main character Sookie Stackhouse is part faerie. All true faeries hide from our world and live in another dimensional faerie plane. Vampires are the faeries biggest enemy, and nearly drove their kind to extinction. Faerie blood is delicious to vampires, and can give them feelings of euphoric nature. Vampires can drink true faerie blood and walk into the sun. A human cannot become a faerie, you must be born into being one. Faeries have telepathic abilities and can read thoughts. They cannot use these powers on a vampire, because they're dead. Faeries can be evil and abduct humans, and have a much sinister side to them in their faerie realm. Faeries are otherwise extinct essentially unless they are mostly human.
